Wagger at Discover Dogs show

Posted November 16th, 2009

What a great weekend for wagger at Discover Dogs.  We had a a wonderfully strategic stand just across from a busy coffee and food stand.  Not that anyone could have missed us with our giant posters and welcoming smiles.  At the peak we had 5 of the team distributing leaflets to a very responsive crowd.  The result being that our site has gone into turbodrive with dozens of new sign ups.   I was a bit apprehensive since it was our first major dogshow but other exhibitors were truly welcoming and we felt that by the end of the weekend wagger had earned its spurs in the UK dog community.  If you visited our stand thank you for passing by, if you didnt make it to the show we hope to meet you on another occasion.

Wagger on parade!

Posted November 13th, 2009

I just got home from fixing up the stand at ‘Discover Dogs’ show at Earls Court.  What a huge event that promises to be.  We are thre on stand 91e just opposite the Crush food and drinks stand.  If you have your dog with you then there is a stand selling pig’s ear and other gourmet treats just along the aisle.  We are so excited about this show.  The organisers at the Kennel Club expect 30.000 visitors over the 2 days and we hope a lot will pass our way and register on wagger.  If you are coming to the show please pass by and see us.

weapon dogs - what is the solution?

Posted November 9th, 2009

The metropolitan police under Kit Malthouse are having a summit today to discuss the growth of ‘weapon dogs’ used in urban crime.  I would be interested for thoughts on this.  Obviously Pit bulls that have been perverted into crime and violence should be tightly controlled but not the extreme attitudes I’ve listened to on the radio today _ James O’brien on LBC - calling for  a ‘cull’ on these breeds.  Are the police going to offer an amnesty like with other offensive weapons where you can drop your ‘weapon dog’ into a basket at your local police station
