The following list is meant to help you find certain areas of our site that will help you network and share with friends.
We would like to offer a few quick tips to help you get started on the site. If you have additional questions or need assistance please contact us using the contact link at the foot of every page.
The First Time You Login:
You'll be prompted to upload your Profile Photo. (This is separate from uploading photos to Photo Albums that you may want to share with Friends). Please Upload your profile photo the first time you log in and before you personalize your profile. This will help you gain the interest of others who may want to become your friend.
Find Friends / Invite Friends
Now that you've joined wagger.co.uk you can Invite Your Friends to join you on the site, making your experience on wagger.co.uk even more enjoyable. Each time you login to your profile you'll be on the HOME page, where you'll see three tabs to choose from. Click on Find Friends. There you can log in to your Yahoo, Gmail, Hotmail or Live account and select those in your contact list that you want to invite and a message will be sent to them.
Join A Network
We recommend that you join at least one Network on the site to ensure you meet as many dogs as possible. You can join as many as you wish, but join at least one as this will enable you to Join Groups or Events, etc that have been created by another user you have something in common with. Alternatively, most Events or Groups are public and anyone can view them or join them. To see existing Networks, go to http://www.wagger.co.uk/networks or from the Top Menu Bar select Networks.
Managing & Editing Your Profile
To personalize your profile, control your privacy settings and editing your account, click on My Account on top menu bar of any page of the site or paste this URL http://www.wagger.co.uk/myaccount Once there you will see several tabs to choose from, beginning with General Settings and Notification Settings. Above those tabs, underneath the Main menu bar you'll see other tabs allowing you to Edit Profile, http://www.wagger.co.uk/profile/edit which will contain several sub-folders for personalizing your profile page. Another important page is Privacy page where you control who can see you, find you and contact you. Click on the folder under the main menu bar PRIVACY or paste this URL http://www.wagger.co.uk/privacy
Browse Dogs & Make Friends
Most likely, the number one reason you're here is to make friends and meet new people. So once your profile is created, and your page has been personalized they way you want it, you're ready to find people on the site. It will be easier for people to determine if they want to be friends with you if your profile is filled out with information about you and your interests. The best way to find people on the site is to look for the Orange text near the top of most pages of the site that says BROWSE DOGS. http://www.wagger.co.uk/search/peoples This page will have four options. You can browse dogs, groups, events and networks.
Uploading Photos
First you have to create a Photo Album to Upload Photos to. On the Left Hand Side of each page there is a section called COMMUNITY FEATURES. Click on Photos. The first page you'll come to is a page that contains Community Photo Albums from other users who have made their Albums Public. Now, if you want to Create an album or albums, look on the top right hand corner under main menu for a tab which says MY ALBUMS or if you get lost paste this URL into your browser http://www.wagger.co.uk/photos/myalbums . Then look for a button on the top right that says CREATE ALBUM. That's where you can create an album first and then step by step you'll upload photos, describe them, share them, bookmark them, etc.
Uploading Videos
The Upload Video process works pretty much the same way as the Upload Photos process. You'll start by clicking on the left hand menu under COMMUNITY FEATURES where it says VIDEOS. Click Videos and again you'll be taken to the main video page that lists all videos shared by other users that selected Public viewing option. From here, look on top right for a tab titled MY VIDEOS or again you can paste this URL into your browser http://www.wagger.co.uk/videos/myvideos/ . On that page look for the tab near the top right that says ALBUMS http://www.wagger.co.uk/videos/myalbums/ . You'll be directed to the Create Album section so you can create an album to upload your videos to. After you create your album you'll see a notice Successfully Created on top and you'll also now be on the page to begin Uploading Videos. On this page you'll describe, title and add tags for the video, etc and then Press Continue Uploading.. when you get to that page, realize this. The center of the page gives you your options that you can upload, avi, mpg, etc but Please Note, this option is for Uploading from your computer or Disc. On the top right side you will see 2 other buttons and options for uploading videos. You can record a web cam video with your web cam and our software and add it to your Album, or the other option is you can Embed Videos from Youtube or Google. So if you want to upload form your computer then continue on that page or select one of the other options. And remember if you want to Embed a Video from Youtube, please be sure to get the VIDEO URL not the Embed code.
Events & Groups
Whether you want to Create or Join existing Events or Groups, the navigation works the same way as Uploading Videos and Photos. Start from the Left Side Menu under Community Features, click your desired option and then look for tabs or buttons on top right of page. Some Events and Groups are Private, most are Public. Meaning that if you haven't made friends with anybody yet, since you just joined, you may or may not see Events or Groups.
Facebook Connect:
On the bottom navigation bar you will find a blue button that says CONNECT WITH FACEBOOK. When you click on this it will open a pop-up type window. Fill in your Facebook email address and password and you will be able to connect wagger with Facebook to interact with your friends on this wagger and to share on Facebook through your Wall and friends' News Feeds. Wagger will also be able to automatically post recent activity back to Facebook. How cool is that!
